My story

my home for a year

my home for a year

My name is Jeanie and I go by gypsychant or candika in my post. I have 4 children who have mostly shaped who I am for the past 27 years. I have been and sometimes still am a midwife, childbirth educator, yoga instructor, house builder, owner of a children store and reggae store, mother, sister, daughter, lover and blogger.  I have never been married but have had two very long relationships over the years. One lasted till I was 25 and still in my “very cute” years, the other is still ongoing into my “loving life” years.

I love to chant and do so as often as possible; in my car with a CD, at the Bahamas in a temple, in St John under the stars.

I love the gypsy life and in the past lived it to the fullest. It seems my family is not so thrilled in that life style. My gypsy life must be mostly in writing for now.

My youngest is 15 and definitely will go to college (her goal). I will ride out her high school years with her, which has mostly been entertaining, then off to a new adventure.

All of this does not define who I am; it just describes where I’ve been.

  1. Thanks for the glimpse into your life. You live in a very fine place allowing for a gypsy lifestyle, I’m sure.
